Project Manager - Audio Visual

Main Purpose of Position

 

To work as part of a small team managing local service activities, managing key projects, providing support in the tender process, design and draft conference room systems and acting as an escalation point for technical issues.  A focus on excellence in delivery will lead to success in customer retention, relationship development and profit generation.

 

Key skills

 Good underpinning technical knowledge of electronics and audio visual systems.Organized and flexible approach different types of tasks during the working day. The ability to prioritize and work under pressure is essential.Ability to design and draft a complete system using corporate drawing package standardHigh level of computer literacy.Ability to work with system schedules and service delivery plans.Commercial management associated with delivery of service and projects.Ability to think laterally to find an appropriate solution to fulfill a specific problem.Good communication skills both verbal and written – ability to communicate at all levels (company executives to building contractors).Good understanding of the design process (electronics, mechanics’ and optics) while understanding the H&S implications and any electrical standards that need to be met.Good working knowledge of CAD, AMX and Crestron Programs.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

 

Service Management

Manage service contract and on-site contract costs to ensure high quality service delivery is achieved while managing financial performance for Electrosonic.

Development and management of any client reporting

Project Management

Manage projects within the budgeted cost and to the satisfaction of the client

Ensure that technical and drawing information is available and correct to allow others to perform their works in an efficient manner.

Perform on-site management, project engineering and commissioning as required

Liaise with purchasing group to purchase the necessary components.

Design

Create a system design from client specifications

Build equipment list from design including accessories and adapters

Suggest alternate equipment that betters functionality

Research new equipment and technology

 

General Administration

Manage and administer multiple client requests

Control and maintain the necessary documentation for any service customer or on any project.

Liaison with other internal departments, clients and contractors ensuring any deliverables are clearly defined.

Ensure that any work undertaken by Electrosonic complies with current H&S guidelines ensuring best practice is undertaken wherever possible.

Commercial

Account and relationship management

Understand the contractual requirements of any work undertaken by Electrosonic

Deal with financial management of service and project work.

Assessing resource and product costs for Audio Visual tenders (projects and service)

Represent the company at a senior level with the necessary level of professional conduct and presentation
