Quality Control Manager Inspector

Modtech Manufacturing and Construction is looking for a Quality Control Inspector that has manufacturing and production construction Experience with Residential and Commerical building.  That is familiar with building codes and regulations to inspect our building and make sure we are in compliance. Modtech builds pre-fabricated school, homes, commercial building and block head restrooms. Must have certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

· Supervise train, and support the Quality Assurance Inspectors.

· Develop and conduct on-going quality training for all QA Inspectors, Production Leads and designated employees.

· Investigate and remedy quality issues in production, engineering, estimating and other departments.

· When Quality issues are identified, make the necessary corrections so the work meets or exceeds the quality standards.  Note: Quality Control personnel have the authority to stop production until the corrections are made.

· Work with the Quality Control inspectors to implement new processes or changes to correct problems and keep them from reoccurring.

· Check Blue Prints and review with QA Inspectors.

· Monitor and discuss blueprint changes (change orders) with QA Inspectors, Engineering Staff and Production Supervisors to ensure smooth, accurate implementation of changes.

· Expedite third party inspections.

· Escort Inspectors.

· Investigate and follow through on any issues arising during inspections.

· Coordinates transportation of buildings.

· Reviews and ensures accuracy of all QA reports prepared by QA Inspectors.

· Supports Modtech Safety Policy and alerts Safety Manager and Production Manager to any unsafe conditions observed.

· Performs all job duties and responsibilities according to job-specific safety guidelines; wears all appropriate PPE.

· Other duties as assigned

 

·Qualifications:

 

· Strong computer skills; including Microsoft Office

· Strong communication skills, written and verbal

· Excellent customer service skills

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

· Associates Degree

· 3-5 years experience in Quality Control

· 2 years Supervisory Experience

· Able to read and understand Blue Prints

 

Language Skills:

 

· Ability to understand and comply with complex instructions.

· Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred.

 

Reasoning Ability:

 

· Ability to understand to complex  instructions.

· Ability to deal with variable situations.
