Sales Application Engineer

Are you a positive and self-motivated individual?  Then Norman S. Wright Mechanical Equipment Corporation is looking for you.  We have an excellent opportunity in our Brisbane office for a self-directed and results-oriented Sales Application Engineer to support our Commercial sales business.

Founded in 1906, Norman S. Wright Mechanical Equipment Corporation is one of the largest HVAC Manufacturer's Representatives in the country.  We have offices that span throughout California, Nevada, Hawaii and Guam.

Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in the HVAC industry performing applied equipment selection.  Familiarity with HVAC systems is also desirable.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:Support outside sales engineers by providing estimations, equipment submittals, order entry, billing and technical support for the sales of commercial air conditioning systems to consulting engineers and mechanical contractors.Optimize/validate equipment selection by reviewing plans and specificationsDefining HVAC equipment selection (included but not limited to air handlers, chillers, unitary products, etc.) for both new and replacement projects.Experience in air handler engineering design and/or applications is a plus.Knowledge of HVAC design and application tools is desirable.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Ability to work well with othersCapable of meeting project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.Must have experience reading construction drawings and specifications.AUTOCAD experience a plus.Windows/Microsoft Office product knowledge.
