Position Summary:
Directly supervises employees in the Marketing and Sales Departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, directing work, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Manages sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors:
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
• Directs Sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
• Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
• Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
• Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
• Assigns sales territory to sales representatives as well as analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
• Directs product simplification and standardization.
• Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
• Meets with key clients, delivering sales presentations and assisting sales representative with negotiating and closing deals.
• Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budget requirements.
• Assists other departments with organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
• Prepares periodic sales report and directs product research and development.
• Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

Qualifications (Education/Experience) and Required Skills:
• Master’s degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience or training.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
• Must be able to travel 75% of the time.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficient knowledge in all Microsoft Office Programs
