Senior MEP Coordinator Needed in San Francisco! THE COMPANYThis is a once in lifetime opportunity to play a key role on one of the largest projects in the Bay Area leading the preconstruction and estimating team handling the $200,000,000 MEP package. This individual will manage and direct a team of over 40-people made up of architects, subcontractors, consultants and engineers.  Additionally they will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge BIM modeling, on screen take off and work in an extremely collaborative environment. Our client is a full service General Contractor that has worked exclusively and successfully in the San Francisco and the greater Bay Area for 53 years. They have over 40 years of combined construction management and construction experience for healthcare, laboratory, education, multi-unit residential and commercial facilities. Full service general contractor offering Preconstruction, Construction services and Construction Management services. The majority of projects include Preconstruction Services. Planning is extremely important to this GC and to ensure a smooth transition into the Construction phase, the Preconstruction team follows through to construct the same project. QUALIFICATIONSStrong technical knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills are required. Knowledge of construction processes and materials is required, rounded off by design and project management experience. Excellent communication skills. Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing trade’s person and/or Engineer/Technician with 5+ years experience in a design office working on HVAC, Electrical Systems; Air conditioning/refrigeration tech. with several years experience. Controls technician experience. Tradesman with Technician or Engineering Degree. Ability to do interference checks and drawings; CAD Experience an asset; ability to read blue prints and specifications. Behavioral skills to work with sub trades. THE POSITIONResponsible for the coordination of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing scopes of work with emphasis on the construction schedule and task specific schedules and coordination.
