Senior Tenant Coordinator
Position Description:The Senior Tenant Coordinator shall (1) be responsible for the management and coordination of projects, at selected properties within Federal Realty's portfolio, as assigned by the Sr. Director, and (2) manage, and serve as a resource for Tenant Coordinators, as assigned by the Sr. Director. Project responsibilities shall be selected projects of a complex nature including, but not limited to, anchor tenant spaces, pad sites, canopy renovations, and other projects as initiated by the Development Department but requiring execution outside of the Development Department.The Senior Tenant Coordinator is the liaison between Federal Realty, the tenant, and the tenant's architects, consultants, and contractors, throughout the planning & construction process of the assigned project.Responsibilities:• Manage and coordinate construction projects on new and existing retail project buildings throughout a specified region. • Ensure the coordination of assigned projects with appropriate FRIT departments, consultants, tenants, and 3rd party managers.• Spearheads and coordinates conceptual estimations for lease budgetary purposes.• Reviews construction exhibits during lease negotiations upon request by Leasing or Legal.• Reviews and approves Landlord and Tenant construction drawings to ensure compliance with Lease, budget and design requirements• Responsible for "driving" the tenant design, permitting and construction process to ensure a timely, attractive, well-constructed tenant opening• Responsible for the weekly reporting the status of all work in process • Responsible for contracting, oversight and delivery of all new lease required Landlord's work • Troubleshoots design and construction issues as they arise• Provide training, oversight and management for tenant coordinators, as required, to ensure established policies and procedures are maintained.• Provide scheduling and planning information to appropriate FRIT departments as required.Qualifications:• 7 plus years tenant coordination and/or project management experience• Experience with development or redevelopment of retail properties• Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related construction management degree• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential• Strong computer skills (MS Office) required.
