Position Summary:

Responsible for ADA remediation projects completed on operating hospital campuses, requiring knowledge of and exposure to such an environment.  Oversee the daily construction activities at work site.  Works with sub-contractors to complete project within the given budget and timeframe.  Familiarity with field concepts, practices, and procedures essential. 

 

Position Responsibilities:

·  Builds and maintains successful client relationships.

·  Resolves contract disputes and arranges for any necessary change orders in partnership with Project Manager.

·  Plans and directs construction activity to deliver high quality, on time, within budget projects.

·  Oversees the daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of sub-contractors, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project

·  Works closely with the Project Manager to maintain schedule, meet project deadlines and budget requirements.

·  Directs MEP Subcontractors' performance and quality.

 Education and Experience:

·  5 - 7 + years experience as a MEP Superintendent on commercial healthcare projects preferred.

·  Experience in the $1-3mm range preferred.  Healthcare construction exposure preferred.

·  Demonstrated experience with new construction and renovation projects.

·  Specific understanding of working electrical and mechanical systems.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·  Ability to travel and overnight away from home.

·  Strong communication skills for all parties involved – sub-contractors, laborers, owner, peers, superiors.

·  Detail-oriented with the capacity to learn quickly and is very productive while maintaining the highest quality in the work product produced.

·  Ability to work autonomously with limited direct supervision.

·  Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

·  Demonstrated ability to lead and direct the work of others.
