Rottler Pest & Lawn Solutions, named one of PCT Magazine’s top 100 pest management firms in the United States, is currently seeking women and men for open service route technician positions. Founded in 1956, Rottler is family owned and operated, and rapidly growing.  We are looking for professional, conscientious, and responsible individuals to service residential and/or commercial routes in the St. Louis area.  Service includes the completion of paperwork and documentation.  Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and have the ability to use ladders.  Candidates should also have excellent communication and customer service skills, be skilled in prioritizing work, and have a strong desire to succeed.

 

Basic Qualifications - Required:

•

At least 18 years of age.

•

High school degree or equivalent.

•

U.S. citizen or alien authorized to work in the United States.

•

Able to work before 8 AM, after 5 PM, and/or on weekends.

•

Read, speak, and comprehend English.

•

Valid motor vehicle operator's license.

•

No more than three moving violations in the last three years.

•

No citations for driving while under the influence within the last three years.

 

Required Skills:

•

Knowledge of pest services, procedures, materials and equipment.

•

Knowledge of pest management regulations, and safety procedures.

•

Skill in oral and written communication.

•

Skill in providing pest control services.

•

Skill in prioritizing work, and making adjustments on short notice.

•

Skill in promoting cooperation, building teamwork, and resolving conflict.

•

Ability to use hand-held computers and perform data entry.

•

Ability to pass licensing certification exam(s).

•

Ability to enter/exit structures and crawl spaces.

•

Ability to climb over and on top of structures, including attics.

•

Ability to use required personal protective equipment.

•

Ability to use power equipment and ladders.

•

Ability to inspect for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, etc.

•

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
