Experience:
Shawmut is looking for a Virtual Construction Manager for its Boston headquarters.  We are looking for a candidate with 2-4 years Construction industry experience with strong Computer Science background.

AutoCAD, 3-D design software and other construction software knowledge and application are a plus.

Position Description:
Project Execution: Assist multiple job and job teams to deliver projects the Shawmut Way.
'Assist project teams implementing BIM.
'Work with architects and engineers to share model and streamline design process.
'Assist subcontractors that are unfamiliar with BIM to streamline its implementation.

Financial Management: Maximize financial benefit from utilizing BIM throughout Shawmut.
'Work with all relevant groups (Estimating, Project Managers, Marketing, etc.) to maximize financial capabilities of BIM

People Development: Drive the growth and development of Shawmut staff.
'Create training opportunities for employees interested in BIM.
'Present information about BIM's potential to employees to generate interest and enthusiasm.
'Work with individuals more hesitant about leaving their comfort zone and transitioning to BIM.
'Make the training and transition process smooth for all ability levels.

Planning and Development: Contribute to the development and execution of strategies throughout Shawmut.
'Maximize program's potential by reaching out to new groups and helping them implement BIM.
'Work closely with employees already using BIM to create knowledgeable company resources.
'Encourage clients to use BIM.
'Develop BIM within the company and help each relevant group implement it to maximize potential.

Relationship Management: Lead team members to develop critical relationships.
'Ability to work effectively with a variety of people, groups, and experience levels.
'Develop relationships with architects/engineers using BIM to maximize benefit of Integrated Design Process.
'Work closely with Subcontractors who are embracing BIM to further streamline project planning and execution.
'Develop relationships with project teams and individuals to strengthen BIM's presence at Shawmut.
'Create strong working relationships with firms offering training.
'Locate outside resources such as graphics firms that can help Shawmut maximize BIM's potential.
