A newly formed luxury residential architecture and construction firm is immediately seeking a full-charge bookkeeper/controller to handle all aspects of accounting. This company specializes in the design and creation of some of Houston’s most beautiful and unique new homes and is searching for a self-motivated, proactive individual who will thrive in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment.  Knowledge of Quickbooks and Microsoft programs and overall organizational skills are essential. Knowledge or interest in architecture/design/construction is a plus. 


The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: 
Maintain all company checking and interest-bearing  accounts Oversee all Accounts Payable Confirm coding of payables with Project Managers Oversee all Accounts Receivable Create architecture invoices per progress payment schedules Create monthly Client Job Cost and Cost to Complete Reports Maintain all insurance including Builders Risk, Workers Compensation, General Liability Maintain bi-monthly payroll, file payroll taxes Create monthly Income Statements, Balance Sheets Coordinate with CPA’s for annual reports, taxes, etc…. Coordinate with lenders for draws on construction financing for custom and speculative projects Maintain credit accounts with suppliers and vendors Weekly partner review of A/P, A/R, Cash Flow Updating monthly lender reports including inventory status and pro formas Coordinating offsite office(s) including infrastructure, information flow, payroll, etc…
