3rd Shift Production Mechanic

Turkey Hill Dairy (THD), located in southern Lancaster County, manufactures ice cream, milk, yogurt and a line of flavored refrigerated iced teas.  THD has over 600 employees and runs a three-shift operation.  THD has been in the dairy business since the 1930s and has made major additions to the plant throughout the 1990s until today.

We have an immediate opening for a

3rd Shift Production Mechanic

 (Friday through Monday, 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.)

 

Ability to: 

·  Follow written and verbal instructions from Supervisor and Technical Manuals.

·  Perform basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic work

·  Weld and pipefitt

·  Read electrical and P&ID drawings

 

Requirements include:

·  Must have 3 – 5 years experience in an industrial environment.

·  Experience with electro-mechanical equipment, pneumatics and hydraulics.

·  Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

·  Experience with CMMS is preferred, but not required.

·  Must be able to work standing on the floor for up to 8 hours.

·  Must be able to bend, stoop, work over head, twist, crawl, and work in tight spaces throughout their shift.

·  Ability to lift 50 pounds.

·  Must have own tools.

·  Willing to work overtime and when required a 7-day work schedule.
