KIK INDIANA located in Elkhart, IN procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of personal care aerosol and liquid products.

We are searching for a hands-on ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER with experience managing warehouse activities in a manufacturing plant. Responsibilities in this role will include directing and controlling plant warehouse activities to ensure the efficiency and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw materials and finished goods. This individual will also be responsible for planning and scheduling department functions to ensure the prompt delivery and accurate quantity of materials ordered. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager. This position requires dock trafficking experience in manufacturing/production environment. The initiative to identify, recommend and implement continuous improvements, and relationship building skills will provide the edge over others interviewing for this position. ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESS:Progressively pursuing on time shipping of ultimately 100%.

Responsible for providing adequate resources to ensure the warehouse operations can be carried out with optimal efficiency.



Responsible for following all regulations pertaining to the distribution/shipping of hazardous materials.



Responsible for following the applicable Federal Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines for the storage of pharmaceutical products.



Responsible for promoting safety, health, environmental, DOT guidelines, and ensuring that all company and governmental rules and regulations are followed at all times.



Responsible for developing and establishing the guidelines related to the 4.7 Control of customer supplied product, 4.9 Process control, 4.15 Handling, Storage, Packaging, Preservation and Delivery, 4.18 Training and P21 Maintenance.



Responsible for orchestrating new customers / product lines and ensuring feasibility for the distribution process.



Responsible for all materials handling activities in the Elkhart, Indiana distribution center.



Responsible for ensuring that all warehouse related entries are entered into the system in order to maintain accurate inventory records.



Responsible for the immediate delivery of backordered product as soon the item is available.



Assist in the coordination of warehouse functions at the branches when applicable.



Complete the investigation of customer complaints originated at the Elkhart warehousing area.



Responsible for the motivation and discipline of employees reporting to this position.



Assist in the solution of problems involving the Warehouse, Inventory Control, Sales, Finance and/or the Customer.



Responsible for maintaining the storage areas in state of order, cleanliness, and repair.



Ensure that all orders are shipped out according to established procedures.



Promote continuous improvement efforts in order to reduce delay of orders and/or picking errors.



Ensure that warehouse equipment is properly maintained and in good operational condition.



Apply the problem solving techniques when dealing with ICAR









IDEAL REQUIREMENTS:



Four-year college degree preferred Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing Warehouse Supervision Knowledge of shipping and receiving methods Good personal communication skills Ability to motivate and train employees AS 400 knowledge, Word and Excel
