Account Manager - NE

Job Title: Account Manager    FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: HQ Sales –Existing/Developmental Clients  Reports to: VP Business

  Development

 

General Purpose: Management of assigned client accounts, development of new accounts, with knowledge and understanding of client services and programs as well as knowledge of identified markets. To increase the availability of STS’ client products in assigned wholesaler and retail chain accounts, accomplished through various methods of contact including: face-to-face sales calls, e-mail, fax, phone, mail, etc. To meet and exceed client sales/distribution goals.

 

Job ResponsibilitiesPerform account sales and service role for specific wholesaler and retail chain HQ accounts.Provide key communication and coordination with the STS and client management teams, sales and corporate staff.Insure execution of specific client initiatives in assigned HQ wholesalers and retail chain accounts.Work closely with Client sales team, distributor sales team & STS sales teams to develop best sales programs and initiatives for products and promotions.Meet sales goals and objectives for STS clients at assigned wholesaler and retail chain accountsTo provide category management analysis and recommended planograms. Update and maintain assigned HQ account profile information ensuring accurate information is maintained to report to STS management and the client.Manage assigned budget within parameters continually looking for methods of improving cost effectiveness measures within company.Attend and assist in organizing and setting up trade shows as directed, as well as STS client meetings as a member of the STS sales team.To perform assigned operational tasks as appropriate in assistance of STS sales efforts.Submit all essential database management reports according to schedule.Supports other sales/operations functions as needed and supports other related duties as assigned.Travel Up to 50%

 

Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or relevant field of study5 + years account management experience in the consumer goods industry.Proven sales record in calling on convenience store headquarter accounts.Thorough understanding of logistics and supply needs of consumer goods and companies.Understanding of the consumer goods business, strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with varying types of people and exhibit strong sales skills.Experience with managing distributor and retail chain accountsStrong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
