Family owned-and-operated for more than fifty years, Rem Eyewear, located in the North-Burbank area, is seeking a very experienced, high-energy, Accounts Payable Supervisor. REM Eyewear has been serving more than 60 nations, and is a fast growing and well respected leading designer and distributor of fashion eyewear.  

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for the check processing and wire payments for multiple entities in both US dollars and foreign currency.   

 POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

This is a very hands on position. Responsibilities include:

·  Processing check runs timely twice a week

·  Processing wire transfers bi-weekly

·  Reviewing vendor month-end statements

·  Reviewing and processing expense reimbursements for payment

·  Processing and coding invoices with various general ledger accounts as required

·  Preparing workpaper schedules for assigned accounts

·  Maintaining assigned reports periodically as required (Daily Cash,

·  Assist with the bank reconciliation process as needed

·  Preparing budgets with support schedules twice a year for assigned accounts

·  Invoicing employees for purchases from licensors

·  Watching for sales tax and use tax potential issues on processed vendor invoices. 

·  This person must be a quick learner, dependable, possess strong scanning abilities, good time management and organizational skills, and apply great attention to detail. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with people at different levels within an organization. Good attendance is a must.

·  Supervisory responsibilities include overseeing the receptionist and her responsibilities in the department, performance evaluations, management and leadership skills.

·  Special projects will be assigned as required.

 

 EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and min 5 years accounting experience.
