Administrative Support Level 16 Regulatory Compliance
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Monitor press releases and regulatory websites (FDA, USDA, CPSC) for recalls that may impact the Company.
· Gather information on product recalls, issue and distribute recall communications to various Company operating units (division offices, distribution centers, manufacturing plants), procurement and merchandising departments.
· Interact with all Kroger operating units as well as trade associations and federal/state regulatory officials (FDA, USDA, CPSC, etc.).
· Compile division data for billing recall costs back to suppliers.
· Provide administrative support to the Manager of Foods Safety and Regulatory Compliance including correspondence, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, expense reports, telephone coverage, conference calls, and department files.
· Provide secretarial backup for other department secretaries as necessary.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Excellent secretarial skills, including mastery of spelling, grammar, proofreading/editing and excellent communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and maintaining accurate, organized files.
· Ability to accurately process recall information under short time constraints.
· Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and follow through to completion, often with multiple assignments concurrently.
· Strong computer skills. Current systems used are Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Lotus Notes; Internet Explorer and Acrobat Reader. Familiarity with Product Identification Data (PID), Kroger Category Management System-Data Warehouse (KCMS-DW), Business Objects, Power Center and Cliqbook would be helpful.
· Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
· Familiarity with Company’s organization structure would be helpful.
