Packaging Engineer

 

Position Summary:

This is a supervisory position, requiring strong leadership and package engineering experience to develop and continuously improve the methodology for materials and production. Clear communication skills are necessary to interface with suppliers and vendors, as well as, motivate and provide vision for the team.

 

Position Responsibilities:

·  Participate in Process Certification and Supply Integration Program

·  Develop and inform plant and vendors of materials specification for production feasibility

·  Initiate packaging improvements and cost reductions in packaging

·  Prepare review proposals

·  Share learnings and best practices among peers

·  Support Business Group projects

·  Apply continuous improvement methodology for packing materials and production

·  Interface with suppliers to qualify materials and processes at their locations

·  Provide technical input on packaging related issues for maximal production results

Minimum Qualifications:

 

B.S. Packaging Engineering

 

Experience:3 years of Manufacturing, packaging engineering experienceQuality Assurance exposure in plant environmentStrong communication skillsStrong technical skills
