Analyst

Principal Activities:

§ Manage the fiscal budget process for Gross Sales, Product Margin and Units by customer and division

§ Manage the sales forecast on a bi-weekly basis

§ Publish monthly budget versus actual sales and margin reports.  Include analysis highlighting strong and struggling performances

§ Publish weekly sales & inventory reconciliation reports showing excess inventory, aged inventory & discontinued

§ Ability to collect data from multiple systems and divisions to support a corporate view of business performance

§ Extracts and compiles data from multiple systems/sources.  Creates advanced Excel Spreadsheets with Pivot Tables, Vlookups and Macros to provide detailed analysis of purchased goods.

 

Education and Experience

· 4 year college degree required

· 5-7 years experience in consumer products or retail

· JDE and Cognos experience a plus

· Experience working in a dynamic environment

· Experience with imported consumer products

 

Skills and Attributes

· Strong system and analytical skills required.  The ability to extract and compile data from multiple systems / sources, analyze data and then make recommendations for action are vital to this position.

· Advanced skills in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, macros, linked workbooks) – ability to create new tables and spreadsheets to analyze data.

· Understanding of business flow for fashion wholesaler / manufacturer.

· Strong organization skills needed to maintain accurate records
