Primary Purpose of Position:The Application Integration Analyst will be responsible for supporting daily activities of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment, which includes but is limited to interface mapping, setup, testing, and documentation to provide critical functionality to Dole and its business community.The Application Integration Analyst will follow best practices technical solutions and change management procedures in executing his/her responsibilities. This position will work closely with end users and IT functional teams to deliver quality application solutions and support.Distinguishing Characteristics: This position requires business and technical skills with ability to conceptualize efficient implementation models, as well as direct involvement in developing technical solutions required to bring the task to completion. This individual must be highly motivated, team focused, organized and detail oriented and must posses solid analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal skills advanced understanding of emerging technologies and systems development best practices. Communicate clearly, both written and orally, on technical and non-technical levels. Demonstrate ability to take on additional responsibilities when required.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesExecutes daily operational activities related to EDI and other interface platforms including mapping, operational monitoring and error handling. Identify and Expand EDI opportunities within Dole divisions.Coordinates requests both internally and externally. Works directly with business partners to obtain requirements, performs detailed analysis, communicates requirements to internal functional team for development and is the focal point for communicating status/implementation progress to all parties involved. Liaison between trading partners and customers (wholesalers, suppliers, internal customers, etc). Support the internal change control activities including the preparation/documentation. Implement mapping changes and trading partner profile setups.Responsible for follow-up with partners once new solutions are moved to production to ensure successful implementation. Develops document standards to include specific mapping rules/logic Provides support to internal business clients on data integrity questionsProvides solutions to support Dole's highly available, reliable, secure and well performing environments for EDI and Interface platforms.Communicates openly with upper management and escalate issues when appropriate. Develops and maintains operational procedures related to sound business practices. Fully understand, support and comply with Dole's Information Technology policies, procedures and best practices. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge & Skills:Thorough understanding of Gentran version 4.0, 3.0, Gentran/400 required.Sound understanding of infrastructure, communication and security aspects of application systems.Must understand how to develop and maintain EDI transaction sets and trading partnerships. (ANSI X12, UCS).Familiar with the following transaction sets: 204, 214, 850, 875, 855, 810, 880, 940, 943, 944, 945, 947, 846, 856, 864,812, 824, 322, 852, 820, 831, 827.A high level understanding of multiple operating system platforms (OS/400, UNIX, AIX and Win X), as well as with multiple communications methodologies (ftp, ftps, http, https, pgp, SMTP, and EDIINT), and multiple database systems (DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server) is desirable.Thorough working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Understanding of XML highly desirable.Knowledge of JD Edwards World, IBM iSeries (AS/400), and/or One World, and Inovis' BizLink a plus.Experience:Minimum 5 years experience with increasing responsibility in areas related to application integration.Relevant experience across Mid-Range Platform (AS/400), Windows Server Platform, UNIX Client/Server Platform, Internet/Intranet (Web) Platform.Working knowledge of IT Process Frameworks such as ITIL and/or COBIT a plus.Programming experience in at least one of the following areas highly desirable: AS 400, client/server, Web and GIS required.Education:Minimum of undergraduate degree (4 years) in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline is required.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Limited domestic travel will be required RESPOND HERE!
