Benefits Services Associate

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides customer service support to the Benefit Services operations by assisting employees, management and site HR managers in the following areas:

(1) Customer service

(2) Infinium Maintenance

(3) Runzheimer car allowance administration

(4) ARI leased company car administration

(5) Payroll car allowance program administration

(6) Communication and administration of benefit programs as time permits

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Customer ServiceMaintain strong working knowledge of the administration, design and policy aspects of company car policies Assist in call center operations by investigating and resolving employee, management, and HR mgr questions regarding Hoods car programs including eligibility, enrollment, and procedures and by contacting car plan vendors and other service providers as necessary. Escalate issues to Benefits Manager as necessary. Update and distribute car program related materials. Working knowledge of benefit plans to assist in peak workload times.

 

2.  Communication of Car and Benefit ProgramsEnsure newly eligible employees receive information on the applicable car program. Ensure new hire benefit information is current and accurate. Coordinate/create informational articles to place in HP Hood employee communication materials to educate and inform employees about commonplace questions, benefits, upcoming events, etc. Monitor inventory and order benefit communication materials as necessary

 

3.  Files and Infinium MaintenanceCreate, maintain, document, and verify all benefit information in Infinium including employee charges, costs, enrollment, employee data and system set up as necessary. Coordinate new hire and open benefits enrollments. Maintain employee centralized  benefit files.

 

4.  Benefit Administration Car Program Administration FSA Administration 401K Administration Open Enrollment Coordination LOA Administration Life Changes Assistance COBRA Administration Oversee Short Term to Long Term Disability Claim Progression

 

Performs other special project duties and responsibilities as assigned.Requirements:

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management.

Associates degree and 2+ years of benefits administration experience, or equivalent gained through a combination of education and work experience.

Ability to communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships with both internal and external vendors and customers.

Ability to exercise sound judgment, set priorities, organize, implement and administer effectively in all areas of accountability.

Excellent computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft office applications.

Demonstrated maturity in dealing with different levels of employees in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of all employee data.

Able to manage multiple priorities.

Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

Foreign language skills a plus.

Ability to work overtime as needed.
