JOB TITLE: Budget/Forecast Analyst

 

Jones Soda Co. is a Seattle-based premium beverage company whose brands include Jones Soda, 24C, Jones Naturals, Jones Energy, Jones Organics and Whoopass. A leader in the premium soda category, Jones is known for its innovative labeling technique that incorporates always-changing photos sent in from consumers.  Jones is renowned for its guerilla marketing techniques; popping up in creative places just to get soda into the hands of Jones fans.  Jones is also known for creating unique flavors like Turkey & Gravy and Smoked Salmon along with all-time favorites, Blue Bubble Gum and Green Apple.  Jones Soda is sold through beverage retailers and everywhere you'd never expect to find a soda.

 

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Budget/Forecast Analyst primary responsibility is to provide value added analysis to support Corporate decision making.  This position will focus on analyzing, forecasting, modeling and budgeting support.

 

Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop models and methods to analyze sales volume and margin trends on a quarterly, monthly and daily basis to develop both short and medium-term forecastsParticipate in budget and forecast preparation, review and analysisProvide high level performance “dashboard” quality reports to Senior ExecutivesPerforms special analysis/what-if analysis as well as analyze the financial impact of changes in business and new business opportunities/acquisitionsSpecial projects as requested

 

QualificationsBA in Business, preferably with an emphasis in Finance and AccountingStrong working knowledge of financial concepts and ability to apply knowledge to detailed financial analysisDemonstrated ability to develop financial models based on varied assumptionsStrong analytical and problem solving skills.  Ability to identify and resolve problemsHigh level computer skills, including a demonstrated ability to use reporting systems and Microsoft Office applications.  Proficiency in financial modelingExcellent organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
