Our client LSG Sky Chefs has an open position within their IT Department:

Responsible for leading a team for maintenance and design of desktop database and custom applications as required using tools such as SQL Server 2000, Toad, Crystal Reports 8.5/10, and Visual Basic 6

Customers Served: Primarily Northwest Airlines (NWA) Hubs plus CSCs that have NWA as customers.  Number of Direct Reports: indirect 0 – 3 clerks, direct 0 – 1 Business Analyst I and 2 IT Coordinators/Specialists

Responsible for ensuring current daily operations documents are accurate and timely, including Master Production Schedules (MPS), Variable Production Schedules (VPS), IFBL, First Pass Yield (FPY) and any reports/outputs (tags/diagrams/forecasting/lean tools) that drive operations improvement

Ensure continued effort toward greater levels of standardization across CSCs and the Region

Responsible for assisting with/assigning hardware support as requested by the North America Region Infrastructure Team

Resolve desktop hardware and software issues when Help Desk timelines do not meet customer needs

Update and communicate all internal operational information in a timely, accurate and user friendly fashion

Define technical and non-technical requirements based on operational needs and enterprise systems

Ensure adequate documentation of IT processes and programs.  Document Business Processes relative to IT systems

Ensure compliance with Global and Regional IT project guidelines

Assist Operations and Maintenance teams with phone and paging system(s) as required

Provide coverage when IT Team members are not available

Bachelor's degree Computer Science or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

Two years working in a project environment with Business Analysis emphasis

Strong experience with MS Office (particularly Excel) is required along with the ability to transform formulas into business prototypes/requirements as enterprise projects demand

Strong knowledge of Visual Basic 6, SQL Server 2000 DTS packages and T-SQL, Crystal Reports

Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, analytical and quantitative skills

Ability to problem-solve and act as a coach/technical resource for hourly and management level employees and internal customers

Experience in conducting performance management process

Strong customer service orientation (internal and external)

Working knowledge of programs and systems such as Link, KRONOS  a plus

Process and data modeling experience using MS Visio preferred

Knowledge of PERL, Pendragon helpful
