Business Intelligence Analyst / Developer / DBA

Baudville, Inc., a large national cataloger and leading product innovator is currently seeking a talented Analyst to help us continue our significant growth.  This newly created position of Business Report Analyst / Developer will install and lead our development in business intelligence software, develop reporting and application systems as needed to support all areas of the business.  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Lead and participate in the full development life cycle for enterprise-wide reporting efforts.

·         Provide business process and other business knowledge in design and ongoing growth of the firm’s data marts and data warehouse.

·         Analyze business processes related to firm reporting and applications.

·         Collaborate with key business leaders of firm systems to prioritize enhancement requests

·         Assist in analyzing and assessing the feasibility of proposed enhancement requests for reports and application systems.

·         Test report functionality and accuracy.

·         Work closely with IT staff and end-users to ensure that reports meet the business need.

·         Ensure new reports are properly documented on the intranet prior to release.

·         Work as a team member of the IT department to support current and ongoing initiatives.

·         Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.

·         Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or 3-5 years in business intelligence software (Business Objects or Cognos)

·         1-2 yrs. of Enterprise administration preferred.

·         Experience with SQL strongly desired

·         Strong analytical and documentation skills and attention to detail.

·         Experience working with and / or supporting financial systems.

·         Understanding of relational databases.

·         Knowledge of data marts, data warehousing, OLAP tools and techniques preferred.

·         Experience with Microsoft Office ( Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint )

·         Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

·         High level of professionalism.

·         Strong project management skills.

·         Ability to interact with managers, senior-level executives and upper-level management.

·         Outstanding organizational and time management skills; able to take on and prioritize multiple assignments.

·         Results-oriented; takes initiative.
