BUSINESS MANAGER

Objectives:
Maximize retail sales by:
• Knowledge and awareness of business status/department ranking
• Orchestrating promotional activities/events
• Maintain, develop and oversee Customer Registry Program
• Training and Motivating Beauty Advisors/Makeup Artists
• Daily communication with store management
• Interfacing with key in-store depts for referrals
• Daily communication with management
• Maintaining and managing effective stock control
• Active in outreach programs

Responsibilities

Business Status:
• Continuous evaluation and awareness of counter business/sales status, daily, MTD, YTD, STD
• Awareness of existing competitive ranking, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly
• Daily knowledge of all sales achievement Vs goal for line assigned staff/MUA
• Knowledge of all sell through inventory, opportunities

Promotional Activities/Events:
• Plan, and prepare all materials, staff coverage, visuals, collateral needed for in-store events
• Effectively execute scheduled and non-scheduled events
• Prepare recap of all events in a timely manner

Training/Motivating Beauty Advisors/Makeup Artists
• Observe selling interaction of all beauty advisors/makeup artists, and provide effective feedback for improvement
• Reinforce training schools based on training report.  Conduct impromptu role plays, practice sessions
• Distribution and monitoring of goals, daily/weekly/monthly/yearly

Customer Registry Development
• Consistently encourage and motivate staff to register and maintain active client list
• Daily client calls and follow up activities for all staff members
• Customer Registry program support and demonstration

Communication with Store Management
• Daily communication with Department manager. Communicate challenges, success stories and all pertinent information.
• Have full awareness of store activities (who is in gift promotion, who has PA, store wide sales, etc.)
• Awareness of store regulations and policies
• Participation in all store meetings

Interfacing with Key Departments in-store
• Awareness of all store wide activities and special events (fashion shows, store mailers, etc.)
• Establish relationships with key departments (personal shopper, bridal, director of special events, visual, etc.)

Communication with management
• Daily voice mails on status of retail
• Communicate competitive activities to management
• Manage stock level flow (you can forecast a sell-through rate on a specific item that is selling quickly, and possibly avoid an out of stock issue)
• Communicate personnel issues to management

Recruiting
• Maintain active list of freelance staff
• Awareness of ‘star’ quality candidates in the marketplace

Outreach Programs
• Explore possible liaison with outside corporations/organizations
• Schedule and orchestrate mini training and educational seminars with outreach program contacts
• Arrange and organize all materials and staff needed for presentation
• Provide feedback and recap of event(s) to management/Store Management
 
Organization
• Maintains and oversees clean and organized counter operation
• Drawers and cabinets neat, organized and filled with stock and rotation of stock
• Display units up to date/clean
• Out of stock lists maintained daily/weekly
• Push lists
• Follow up and completion of outstanding issues
• Completion and submission of all needed paperwork, reports
• Maintains ample stock of supplies & collateral (Customer Registry Sheets, Generic sheets, samples, cotton, etc.)
