This role is clearly a pivotal launching / developmental role for positions two or three levels beyond current band. It is essential that the ideal candidate have a strong knowledge of Microsoft access, Excel power user (inclusive of V-lookup, pivot functions, macros and a wide array of functions. The candidate will have solid self management practices, play an active role in team strategy and direction, and approach the role with a positive value add perspective.As the Chain Sales Analyst your responsibilities are to provide analytical, administrative, systems, and data processing support to Chain Sales Managers and Chain Account Managers for their use in successful retail marketing and selling efforts pertaining to their management of retail chain operations at the field level. You will work with and develop new systems and business analysis programs which provide Miller Brewing Company with direct sales advantage resources. You will also be responsible for partnering with retailers, preparing data, along with leading distributor workshops where you will coach to improve space planning. You will assist with retail reviews and locate potential insights. You will work on resets and strive to be category captains. You will consistently run reports and find trends within the market pointing out opportunities and creating monthly trend and business reports. You will search to find cause and effect scenarios within the market, find opportunities for distributors, and seek to understand customers, while differentiating Miller by utilizing the knowledge of the beer industry. The person in this position must have advanced knowledge on: ' Directory of reports and systems such as; Nielsen data, in-store audit data, Spectra, Adview, and JDA Space Planning software. ' Situation analysis and problem solving and account planning ' Space management, consumer promotions, event marketing, media and advertising' Microsoft Office applications, including daily superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access' Retail sales reporting systems and internal sales systems ' Analyze information obtained from numerous sources to be included in key account planning, category management, and data analysis ' Compiling information for chain sales presentations ' Building collaborative customer relationships including feedback and knowing opportunities' Retail delivery and the impact of distributor operations on retailMust have the ability to:' Establish clear objectives for account analysis projects and be self-initiating to ensure timely completion of requested projects. ' Transfer learned skills and methodology to other chain sales personnel ' Anticipate the interests and concerns of others and communicate a variety of information to a wide network of parties' Interact and communicate effectively in one on one situations with co-workers and customers or in groups.'
