Headquartered in Sacramento, California, approximately 3000 California almond growers deliver California almonds annually to their cooperative. The crop is marketed to all 50 states and more than 90 foreign countries, making almonds California's largest food export, and the sixth largest U.S. food export. The California crop is valued annually at over $1 billion dollars.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Consumer Account Representative at our Sacramento, CA facility.  In this role you will:Perform order entry and management of unshipped orders.  Coordinate product availability, production schedules, quality certification and credit approval.  Work with carrier, planners and other production personnel as appropriate and reports status to Division members.Generate invoices for product shipped and verify conformance with Division price schedules;Work with customers, brokers and Sales Managers to clarify and document customer orders.  Keep all Division personnel informed of any significant problems that could affect business unit profitability or customer satisfaction;Facilitate timely shipment of products in accordance with customer requirements.  Under broad supervision of the Division Controller,Consumer, exercises initiative and discretion to satisfy customer expectations in the most cost effective way.  Interfaces with other Division members to evaluate various alternatives.Contribute to forecasting and planning efforts of the Division by providing detailed information on customer usage patterns, including number and complexity of orders, and timing of shipments;Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor, including acting as back-up support for other Consumer Account Representatives.

Requirements:Some related college experience in business, agribusiness or a related field is preferred;3 - 5 Years experience in a customer service/account management role;Experience with order entry, shipping and invoicing of packaged goods preferred;Experience interfacing with customers/brokers preferred;Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet application knowledge, Outlook and internet functions;Data entry experience;Basic understanding of the almond industry and Blue Diamond Growers products, or the ability to grasp the fundamentals within a short period of time;Must be well organized and detail oriented;Must be able to work under pressure and have ability to prioritize and manage important and often competing issues;Must have excellent verbal, written and telephone communications skills and be comfortable maintaining direct personal contact with customers.
