This role is responsible for all contract capabilities in U.S., Europe and Asia working closely with traders and other key leaders within the KS&T organization – a fast paced, dynamic, team-oriented trading environment that daily offers rewarding, fresh challenges. Candidates for the job should possess excellent organizational, process design, and management skills as well as the ability to efficiently multi-task. Ideal candidates have a hands-on leadership style, a strong focus on day-to-day operational excellence, and a personal style that builds trust, inspires loyalty, and inspires teamwork. The candidate should be motivated, proactive, be able to learn and adapt quickly, and have an affinity for working and communicating across diverse, multi-cultural groups. Candidates for the Contract Leader role should have the ability to provide an overall vision for the contract capability, incorporating effective strategies and priorities along with having the ability to execute against those strategies and priorities. The leader will lead a team of fourteen contract analysts and must possess good hands-on leadership capability and an enthusiasm for developing talent. Other responsibilities of the Contract Leader include: · Ensure contract standards are followed globally with any gaps identified and resolved · Ensure contracts are issued and confirmations are agreed upon according to standards, collaborating with traders and external counterparties · Lead effort to assist businesses in new business implementation · Ensure that individual employees are established in the roles best suited to them, are developing satisfactorily within those positions, and are mentored in such a way that they not only meet, but exceed expectations · Continuously improve group performance through process/system efficiencies, developing better controls, and formulating a more complete understanding of contracts to ensure minimal contract errors · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field · Five (5) or more years of proven leadership experience directing business professionals · Strong process improvement knowledge · Superior communication, analytical, and problem resolution skills · Good critical thinking skills · Hands on capability to get into details · Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced, team atmosphere Preferred: · Familiarity with and capability in the field of legal interpretation · Familiarity with contracts and contract language · Working knowledge of commodity trading and trading fundamentals Compensation/Benefits Competitive wages and benefits packages commensurate with experience.
