Corporate Purchasing Analyst

StaffingMaster is currently assisting our client in the search for a Corporate Purchasing Analyst.  This excellent opportunity is located in the Akron/Canton, Ohio area.



 

Position Responsibilities:

 

A qualified candidate will support the Purchasing Manager and Buyers with day-to-day purchasing activities.  You will be responsible to develop detailed market analysis, as directed by Purchasing Manager and Buyers, in preparation for supplier negotiations, conduct supplier performance and spend analysis used in negotiations and supplier management.  Other specific duties include:

 Coordinate quote process with suppliers and site level execution agreements between locations and suppliers.Participate in supplier negotiations.Interface with cross-functional groups to ensure Purchase-to-Pay process compliance.Assist with activities required to plan, source, negotiate, and implement the purchasing of materials.Ensure a smooth flow of materials and services from suppliers to locations.Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.Maintain raw material and supplier files.Assist with Strategic Sourcing initiatives as directed.



 

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree required.2 – 5 years of Accounting and purchasing experience within a corporate environment.Strong follow-up and attention to detail.Planning and organizational skills.Ability to develop sound professional working relationships with customers and suppliers.6.  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point and Excel).7.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
