Cost Analyst

Responsible for direct purchasing and supplier management with attention to cost reduction and MRP fulfillment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualified candidates will have the ability to: Create lists of product with unfavorable margins. Run cost analysis report and review report to identify items with potential cost savings. Coordinate meetings with purchasing,test engineers, process and design engineers to identify and discuss potential cost savings. Generate postential cost targets and cost savings timelines. Implement and monitor price savings with contract with Gr. Contact contract mfg. to find out alternative sources to acheive cost savings for internally produces products. review standard cost and material cost in SAP. Review and authorize changes in standard cost. Run/monitor cost roll up report at month end. Review, analyze and rectify costing errors resulting from cost roll up at month end.

Qualifications:

 

Education:  B.S. or B.A. Degree or Equivalent

Experience:  Minimum 3 years management experience in electronics manufacturing.

Certifications:  APICS certification is desirable



 

Skills:

 

The applicant must have a comprehensive knowledge ofProduct Costing and Materials management in the manufacturing environment. 

 Must be able to quantify and identify potential cost savings on electro-mechanical apparatus .  Knowledge of manufacturing processes a plus.  Must have working knowledge of electronic components, technical documents (such as BOMs, AVLs, Blue prints, schematics and Gerber files. Must have experience with MRP, Microsoft Word/Excel and Outlook.  SAP knowledge is a plus.  Must have good organizational and analytical skills in order to make appropriate decisions. Should have good interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internal and external to Crestron.
