This position will be located in our KIK Danville facility in Danville IL.

We are currently searching for a bright, talented Demand Planner to join the Corporate Supply Chain Team. You will be responsible for articulating high quality customer demand information to drive effective production and material plans across the division and through the supply chain network. You will work directly with our customers to improve clarity of the demand picture including identification of opportunities to balance or grow volume and manage change. This information is also a key input to visibility of company performance against budget and sales targets. This position works in alignment with a customer team as an internal service advocate for the customer and reports to the Director of Demand Planning.



ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS INCLUDE:

Work directly with customer contacts to manage demand patterns and to create high quality plans



Understand supply agreements and help enforce rules of engagement with customers to minimize variability



Balance customer requirements over time horizon to proactively meet needs on time while smoothing plant network utilization



Advocate for delivery of customer requirements with production and material planners



Coordinate with other demand planners when competing for line time



Monitor demand against commitment and budget targets and support in divisional S&OP reviews



Participate in CS&OP reviews with larger customers



Work with customer team to incorporate new business initiatives into demand plans



Collaborating with other demand planners or production planners when needs conflict.



Re-planning quickly and accurately as new information breaks.



Seeing patterns in demand (eg. Surge or decline) and intervening to clarify and react on behalf of KIK





IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in Finance, Economics, Business or EngineeringCPIM or equivalentMinimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing planning roleNegotiating SkillsCommunication and problem solving skillsKnowledge of plant capabilities and customer supply agreements. Strong system skillsMust demonstrate ability to base decisions upon different scenarios, (eg. ‘what if’ re-planning)Staying current with changing supply: demand landscape (eg.
