Desktop Support Technician

Deluxe Digital Studios (DDS) is a leading supplier of DVD, Blu-ray, and digital distribution post production services, including subtitling and localization, video compression, encoding, authoring, menu design, bonus content production, and network services. DDS is a global company with presence in 6 countries. Our clients include the major Hollywood studios as well as a growing number of on-line retailers.

 

Primary Job Duties

 

· Assist users to solve all computer-related problems over the phone and/or at the user’s location.

· Create and execute team room tickets for technicians.

· Responsible for software and hardware inventory control, including all computer-related items.

· Troubleshoot, isolate and diagnose common PC problems.

· Assist with PC, network hardware and software upgrades as required.

· Assist and help user community in answering all questions regarding network and access rights.

· Some weekend work necessary.

· Documentation of procedures and policies.

· Implement and enforce IT related company security measures.

 

Qualifications

 

· Knowledge of PC, network hardware and software.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently, with minimal supervision.

· Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.

· Ability to seek proactive solutions to difficult situations.

· Ability to maintain calm under deadline pressure.

· Work hours flexibility.

· Bachelor’s degree required.
