If you're as excited about the future as we are, consider this opportunity.PURPOSE OF POSITION:The Digital Asset Coordinator's primary function is to provide support for the Mattel's new Digital Asset Management system, Media Bin. In addition to support at a clerical level, this person will be partnering in an administrative role with Asia Photography, Design, Packaging, U.S. and International Sales to ensure images are successfully uploaded to support Mattel's product line, in a timely manner; plays significant role in enforcing correct metadata application processes and file naming conventions with these cross-functional teams and external art directors and photographers.The Digital Asset Coordinator will monitor the system's rejected items, assist users in correcting errors on submitted assets, enter new product (catalog) year information on existing DAM assets for carry-over products, and enter metadata as required to be associated with image captures with adherence to all standards for conventions related to assets including file naming, directory structures, and file format, Monitors Bad Data folder in Media Bin and corrects rejected images.KEY RESULTS AREAS:To support Mattel's primary global Digital Asset Management system, the Digital Asset Coordinator ensures all assets are assigned the appropriate meta data and key words for the system to be fully functional.Facilitates upload process and monitors success of asset migration into connecting systems:Sales Kit, Business 2 Business, Speed Quote, etc.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:35% - Review rejected assets and assist/coordinate correcting metadata errors and resubmitting assets to the system. Work with Documentation, Photography and Packaging teams to resolve Product Information related errors.35% -MetaData Administration:1. Application of valid catalog year(s) to images that exist in the system for carry-over products.2. Application and administration of Legal MetaData for non-Product related assets within MediaBin. 30% -Main point of contact for all End-User Requests: 1. Field requests for missing assets from users and work with Design, Photography, and other groups to create and deliver requested image to the user and system.2. Fulfill asset requests from DAM user community as required, while directing users to access the asset directly where applicable.3. Sources product images for special projects - MARCOM Ads, PR, corporate presentations. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:This position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail; good written and verbal communication skills, good customer service skills, ability to perform repetitive tasks; ability to meet scheduled deadline with a fluctuating workload; ability to work independently with little direction in an established yet developing workflow; ability to learn and proficiently use new and emerging technologies; possess an understanding of workflow for Print and Web, design applications and file formats, and photography equipment. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS REQUIRED:Some college preferred, and also prefer two years experience as a librarian or in the Digital Asset Management field. Mid-level mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is preferable.Understanding of digital photography, DAM and related emerging technology.Understanding of digital file format application in specific media.Knowledge of PC as well as MAC platforms is helpful.
