Director Cost Accounting

Our long time client, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (Fender Guitars) is the world’s foremost manufacturer of guitars and amplifiers.  Futurestep is helping them to find a Director of Cost Accounting that will report to the Controller. This position, located at corporate headquarters, will plan and direct all activities dealing with the cost accounting functions of this global organization – all done in blue jeans, please - Fender has an “individual expression” environment!

Corporate headquarters are located in Scottsdale, AZ, with manufacturing headquarters and the world-renowned Fender Custom Shop in Corona, CA.  A full relocation package is available.

 

Travel in the first year may be up to 25%.  Compensation is flexible based on your experience and how well your skill set matches the requirements below.  You’ll start with 3 weeks of vacation.  Bonuses are based on the Company’s annual performance and once proven, you’ll be eligible for equity in the Company.

 

Mandatory Requirements/Experience:

 

(Candidates without these minimum requirements will not be considered)

 Familiar with SAP, specifically the R3 & SEM modules; additional knowledge of Hyperion is preferableMust have heavy manufacturing industry experience and come from a strong organization that is well respectedWorling knowledge of the manufacturing industry with hands on experience in the plant and on the production floor in an accounting capacityExpert knowledge of cost accounting and GAAPMinimum of 7 years applied experience with a $300 + MM revenue consumer durable goods manufacturer Minimum 4 years direct managementPublic accounting experience would be a BIG plusBachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA, CMA or MBA preferred)
