We are currently seeking candidates for a Director, Human Resources for an international corporation with a manufacturing facility close to Raleigh, North Carolina.  Successful candidates will define, implement and control the HR policies and strategies elaborated with the VP HR Operations and the VP US Operations in order to improve the Human Resources and promote the professional development of all employees.  They will also coordinate HR activities for key staff within Local Operations. Functional responsibilities include:HR POLICIES: In accordance with VP HR Operations & VP US Operations, define and implement the HR polices in agreement with Local site requirements about the following matters: Compensation and benefits Training and development Staffing (hiring, succession and induction) Communication Code of conduct LABOR RELATIONS: Assist the VP US Operations in managing the local labor relations and proactively managing a non-union relationship. Monitor the social climate across the site and promote a constructive dialogue with all social partners within the site. EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT: Ensure an effective development of employees and internal talents through the efficient implementation of HRP across the site, focusing on individual action plans. Develop and sponsor the implementation of initiatives leveraging employee development opportunities: campus management, young high potentials  Insuring appropriate skills training for operators. Manage the company’s Operations Training Program. STAFFING: Manage the hiring process for all local positions with a special involvement in key and management positions. COMMUNICATION: Ensure an effective implementation of the Mission, values, and priorities in Operations in cascading it throughout the entire site. Ensure an effective implementation of the Scorecards in the site in cascading it throughout the entire site. Assure the implementation of the new employees induction and welcome procedure. Ensure an effective cascade of the corporate communication tools. COMPENSATION:Define and implement proper tools to monitor the compensation effectiveness within the site in line with Company HR practices (Corporate HR & Operations HR practices) to achieve staffing and overall business objectives, while managing legal requirements. HEALTH AND SAFETY: Insure a dynamic system of best practices, legal compliance and continuous improvement to provide the safest environment possible. Support the H&S programs in the site. ORGANIZATION DESIGN: Continuously review and strengthen the organizational model through various programs such as: Total quality management Shop-floor re-grading Work Process Reengineering Challenging the structure through their Organization Charts (layers, direct reports) KEY INDICATORS: Staffing effectiveness Compensation spending of overheads positions. Managers promoted from within and from target universities. Succession plan implementation Managers trained following the company’s Operations Program ( Including TQM) Recordable incident rate.
