As a Director, IT Applications, you will be responsible for the management, support, and evolution of the TMaG global Supply Chain & Operations business application environment.   

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities include: 

• Manage, mentor and develop IT Systems Managers and a team of IT Analysts 
• Contribute to the formation of global IT business application strategy 
• Support the business / IT alignment processes and maintains relationships with key TMaG and Global IT personnel 
• Manage and control business demands for business application projects 
• Manage and maintain productive relationships with key business contacts in Carlsbad, Europe, Canada, Japan, and Korea business units 
• Manage key IT vendor relationships 
• Develop, implement, and evolve application support processes and models 
• Develop, implement, and evolve project management standards and processes 
• Develop, implement, and evolve systems analysis standards and processes 
• Manage costs and cost drivers within area of responsibility and contributes to formation of annual budget 
• Facilitate the reengineering and optimization of business processes supported by IT applications 
• Direct large IT application implementations 
• Oversee creation and architecture of custom application solutions 
• Facilitate the development of business cases justifying new application investments 
• Facilitate make vs. buy software decisions 
• Facilitate software selection processes 
• Facilitate application decommissioning activities 
• Communicate and coordinate demands for infrastructure and development team resources
• Regularly communicates statuses of key projects 
• Identifie staffing needs, recruit and manage key positions within the IT Application team, both full-time regular, temporary and contract staff
• Contribute to the evolution of the overall IT department through programs of improvement, new processes and change 

Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience: 

B.S. degree in applicable IT, Business Administration or related field required 
10+ years of related technical and management experience required Experience supporting large scale ERP Supply Chain and Operations Business Applications
Project management certification preferred 
ITIL certification preferred 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements: 

Strong management and leadership skills Proven ability to build, develop and mentor a strong technical team
Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation 
Ability to create short and long term application architecture strategies

• Business operations, including procurement, production, order management, distribution, and finance processes
