Director of Operations Business Services-Global Rum

Purpose
To lead the Supply Global Rum Strategy, aligned with the Global Brand Team. Deliver Innovation, Renovation, Cost, Quality & Service initiatives for all rums excluding Bundaberg.

Decision Making
Determines which stakeholders need to be influenced for successful delivery ofrum initiative's).
Prioritization of initiatives in support ofSupply Global Rum Strategy and brand specific Innovation, Renovation, Cost Enhancement and Quality programs.
Prioritise initiatives based on global rum inventories and strategic requirements

Management Responsibility
Approximately1 -3 direct reports
Develop & manage the Supply Global Rum Strategy to support the Global Brand Team Mission
Lead the Rum Centre of Excellence Group to deliver short and long term objectives.
Participate as part of the Global Brand Team as the Supply contact
Co-ordinate initiatives on a global basis to ensure inventory alignment, lowest cost delivery and compliance in
all relevant markets.
Facilitate the successful delivery by the Supply organization of Rum Innovation, Renovation, Cost
Enhancement & Business Continuity programs.

Complexity of Role
This individual will be closely linked to the Rum Global Brand Team, Rum Supply Centres, Key Rum markets
and Innovation teams
Global scope with focus on USA, Canada, Venezuela, Spain and Italy markets
Broad market and Global supply chainexperience along with specific knowledge on distillation, maturation & general rum production.
Projects range from Innovation & Renovation to Business Continuity and Brand Value Enhancement
Requires influential relationships with all functions and levels, to ensure highly effective and efficient cross functional work to deliver Innovation, Renovation, Cost Enhancement and Quality programs on a global basis. 

Key Outputs/Deliverables
Responsible to Develop Supply Global Rum Strategy to support the GBT Strategy
Deliver specific rum Innovation, Renovation, Cost Enhancement and Quality programs.
Support Rum Business Continuity Projects 
Support Global Brand Team for all Supply initiatives
Co-ordinate Projects on global basis to ensure inventory alignment with B&PP group & facilitate prioritisation of
projects.
Responsible to develop and maintain strong relationship withGBT, Key Rum markets, Global Brand Innovation Group
Responsible to develop and maintain relationship with GlobalSupply Centres
Responsible to develop supply financials for Rums managed as of part of the LE and strategic planning processes.
Accountable and responsible for capability development of self and team to deliver the talent development agenda.


Experience  
At least 10 years of work experience with a minimum of 5 years of supply chain business experience.
Experience in fast moving consumer packaged goods required.
Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred.
Advanced skills and ability to lead and influence stakeholders.
Proven ability to drive step change and manage complex projects.
Tactical and Strategic proactive thinker with results orientation.
Ability to develop innovative solutions to business challenges.
Wide cross-functional business understanding to proactively understand impact of decisions.
Knowledge of distillation, maturation and rum production. 
International Project Management Experience an advantage.
