We are currently in search of a Director of Strategic Marketing and Brand Management located in our Corporate headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. General SummaryProvides management and support to Health Strategic Business Unit for Strategic Marketing, Planning and Brand Management related activities, ensuring the achievement of annual financial and operational targets in a manner consistent with the corporation’s Mission, Values, High Performance Principles and Strategic Choices. Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1. Leads the application of marketing concepts and operating strategies (brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, market strategies, consumer segmentation, media planning, trade/consumer promotions, etc.) used in the development and execution of brand building programs. 2. Evaluates the effectiveness of brand building programs in order to continuously learn from marketing efforts and improve future programs. 3. Maintains thorough knowledge of brand strengths, weaknesses, critical attributes, requirements of relevant markets and current and planned brand building programs. 4. Conduct competitive intelligence research and develop continuous in-depth knowledge of market space, competitors, industry trends, and other relevant information 5. Assist in the development and execution of strategies and tactics required to achieve business and market development goals including support for acquisition and partnering activities 6. Conduct market research and provide analytical business development support for the assessment of existing and new market opportunities 7. Manage and disseminate competitive intelligence updates to key stakeholders Education & Knowledge Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Strategy or related discipline with minimum 3-5 years experience in Marketing, Advertising or Strategy Must have Consumer Products and Brand Management experience SWOT analysis experience Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and business management abilities Excellent analytic and planning ability Ability to synthesize data and articulate findings through excellent written & oral presentation skills Career Education Corporation offers an exciting, ethical work atmosphere and a very competitive compensation and benefits package including, medical/dental, stock purchase plan, 401 (k) plan, tuition assistance, performance bonus plan and ongoing professional development.
