Distribution/Service Center Manager

The individual selected will be solely responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a remote service center to ensure that all products are correctly sorted, picked, packed, inspected, and shipped in a timely manner. This manager will be responsible for meeting the ongoing employee relations needs (in excess of twenty people) on a stand-alone basis. This role handles budgetary responsibilities ranging between $2-$10 million annually with responsibility for cost/service/business metrics. Applicants must be capable of running a facility requiring a significant degree of autonomy and independent thought/judgment. The successful candidate must continue to develop her/his leadership, strive to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and execute process improvements.

 

The desired candidate would have a BA in Supply Chain or Logistics/Materials Management.  A minimum of five years supervisory/managerial experience in a distribution/logistics setting is required along with expertise in project management.  This candidate should also be flexible to consider working in other geographic regions.  Candidate should demonstrate the following competencies:  leadership, development of others, customer service, relationship building, strong communication skills, business acumen, ability to deliver on objectives and a strong degree of self awareness.
