Position Summary:
Working under the direction of the Maintenance Department, perform duties to include:
Perform all work in compliance with established safety, GMP and TPM standards.
Respond to breakdowns and other issues brought to the attention of Maintenance (by supervision, operators or other personnel) as needed during operations, in a way that minimizes operational delays.

Perform all work in compliance with established safety, GMP and TPM standards.
· Respond to breakdowns and other issues brought to the attention of Maintenance (by supervision, operators or other personnel) as needed during operations, in a way that minimizes operational delays.
· Line changeovers, making all appropriate adjustments for efficient operation.
Install, calibrate, inspect, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance and repair instrumentation on packaging, processing, utility and other equipment as needed.
· Troubleshoot, maintain and adjust all process precision electronic and pneumatic instrumentation used to sense, measure, record and/or display temperature, pressure, flow, level, vacuum, etc.
· Troubleshoot, maintain and adjust all process controllers and process control loop components including sensor, transmitters, converters, valve positioners and actuators, etc.
Perform electrical troubleshooting and do major electrical repairs and installations.
Mechanical duties required for preventive maintenance, basic repairs and minor overhauls to plant production and building equipment to ensure efficient operation of that equipment and quality product.
· Installation and alignment of machinery and equipment.
Lubrication of all plant equipment, repair, change and/or adjust product seals, gaskets, shafts, blades, o-rings, packing material (mechanical parts).
· Participate in continuous improvement activities (for example TPM or similar activity).
Keeps tools, equipment and work area safe, clean and orderly. At all times work safely around equipment, tools and co-workers.
· Perform other related duties as required by supervision, and work with and assist other craftsmen.
· In addition to the above duties, this position requires the following qualifications:
Minimum three years industrial maintenance experience.
Ability to perform all duties associated with position, with minimal supervision.
· Ability to perform work safely and maintain work areas in a manner that does not present a hazard to co-workers or products.
Ability to install, program, troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers and associated processing systems.
· Knowledge and skill necessary to properly use various types of test instruments, such as: ohmmeters, volt meters, ammeters, pressure gauges, calibration equipment, electronic components checkers, etc.
· Ability to work from drawings and sketches, repair and operating manuals and written/oral instructions.
Knowledge and experience in the use of hand and power tools common to instrumentation work, such as: electric drills, soldering and brazing equipment, etc.
· Possess basic mechanical skills.
Ability to recognize conditions that would have a negative impact on production or other facility operations and take appropriate follow-up action.
· Must be able to provide and maintain own tools.
Must be able to climb ladders, work safely at heights or in confined spaces, physically
· Handle lifting of 50 pounds, and perform work in temperature extremes and wet conditions.
