Mattel, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join its team of innovative Electronic Toys Product Development professionals at its Design Center in El Segundo, CA. Be part of the design teams that create some of the coolest electronic toy properties including Tyco Tri-Clops Mutant Radio-Controlled Vehicle, Little Mommy's Voice Activated Real Loving Baby, Pixel Chix, Hot Wheels MANIACS Digital Drivers and Entertainment properties including Pixar's CARS, and in 2008 Batman: The Dark Night and Speed Racer! Dozens of new electronic based toy SKUs every year makes this position both challenging and rewarding. You must be able to communicate effectively with both other engineers and non-technical members of Mattel Brands Toy Design teams and will routinely be expected to collaborate in brainstorming new product concepts. Our ideal candidate has an inquisitive mind and inventive instinct with an enthusiasm for electronic toys and gadgets, in addition to expertise as an electronic design engineer. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS REQUIRED' Must have solid experience with analog circuit and embedded microcontroller hardware design.' Experience with software development for embedded systems is also a must. Familiarity with 6502, Sunplus, EMC, Winbond, Sonix, PIC micros is a plus. ' Proven Project Management skills required. In addition, must be able to multi-task and handle several projects simultaneously.' This is a constantly changing environment so the ability to roll with changing schedules is a must.'
