POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for establishing and implementing the Nestlé Maintenance Strategy across the Market (factories and distribution centers), aligned with the business strategy, Nestle Continuous Excellence (TPM, Six Sigma, and Lean) and CT-Eng/Services guidelines. Accountable for the results achieved by the impacted factories and facilities. Key assistant to the Market Chief Engineer.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Management Responsibilities* define, propose and monitor the Maintenance and Improvement (M and I) strategy, plans and objectives in the factories/facilities in accordance with the Nestle Continuous Excellence [(NCE) TPM, Six Sigma, and Lean] and Nestle Engineering Excellence (NEE). * obtain Management's support for M and I* maintain competencies, motivation and commitment to achieve the M and I teams mission and objectives.* assess and advise on factory/facility Maintenance Budgets, including Extraordinary Maintenance projects.* encourage continuous improvement, networking and sharing information within the M and I community such that it becomes a key pillar of the M and I culture.* demonstrate and promote the company's values with impact on the M and I teams.Functional Responsibilities:* ensure full alignment of the M and I strategy and execution with the internal/external regulations related to Safety and Environment.* ensure full alignment of the M and I strategy and execution with the requirements of the Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Nestle Good Hygienic Engineering (NGHE) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)* Define Key Performance Indicators and annual objectives and targets. Monitor factory and market performance on a monthly basis.* drive the M and I efforts towards a "low cost, highly efficient" operation, increasing the assets productivity (API and GAPI)* ensure that assets are managed according to established plans and are in line with corporate policies and objectives* lead the 'Planned Maintenance' pillar at Market level, with consistent implementation in all factories/facilities.Specific responsibilities relating at the Market/Business level:* coordinate with other corporate functions (Engineering, Production, Quality Management etc.) the implementation and execution of M and I best practices across the market.* check the validity of all mandatory safety, environment, energy, line efficiency and performance reports in respect to M and I.* benchmark with other Nestle Markets and factories, setting objectives for Continuous Improvement* maintain regular and frequent contacts with other industries or Maintenance forums to keep abreast of trends, technologies and best practices outside Nestlé.* maintain a good understanding of all facilities including which lines, processes and utilities are critical to the business and where failure can have an unacceptable impact on safety, environment or compliance with the law.Specific responsibilities relating at the Factory/Sites level:* guide the factories/sites in the preparation of their M and I budget proposals ensuring alignment with the business needs. * support and encourage the implementation of the engineering tools such as CDM, AMM, NSAT, NEMT, etc. * participate in local audits concerning safety, health, environment, product safety and product quality. Ensure action plans are in place and being implementation as per the plan. Be proactive in investigating any issues relating to non-compliance, major breakdowns and non-conformance with key performance indicators.* organize training and development programs for factory M and I engineers and key staff members. Responsibilities relating to the Nestlé Maintenance Strategy:* obtain Management's support for M and I and ensure its alignment with the business strategy.* evaluate current M and I, driving the implementation of Best Practices related to systems, processes, methods, organization, staffing, and employee skill levels. * support and encourage the decentralizing of routine maintenance through the Future Manufacturing initiative.* adopt the Maintenance Excellence vision by striving for the M and I "Proactive Domain".Responsibilities relating to Consequence Driven Maintenance:* maintain Consequence Driven Maintenance (CDM) as the multi-discipline, team based approach to proactively maintain/improve the reliability and performance of the company's assets.* coordinate activities of the Corporate CDM Engineer to ensure the corporate and factory objectives are satisfied. * assist the factories to optimize the use of Predictive Maintenance technologies. Responsibilities relating to Asset and Maintenance Management:* work closely to the Market AMM lead to ensure that the factories/facilities establish and maintain Business Excellence practices in their M and I programs and properly implement Asset and Maintenance Management (AMM) at their locations. REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:* Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical/chemical/ process/electrical engineering.EXPERIENCE:* Minimum 5-7 years experience in a technical field, preferable in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry, of which several years were as Maintenance Engineer or Factory Engineer in a plant.* Practical knowledge of TPM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing * Supervisory experience in previous assignment.SKILLS:General and professional skills* Strong technical and managerial skills* In-depth knowledge of food processing equipment maintenance and technology a.
