Fiber Buyer

Our client, Fortune 500 producer of disposable clean up products seeks a service related leader to maximize efficiencies related its raw material buying systems. Its category leading items continue to provide useful hygienic solutions to Food Service, Healthcare and other Commercial customers. Demand for these has driven substantial national as well as global sales. This manufacturer is looking for an individual to contribute to its team buying process to meet monthly source requirements of ingredient products needed for paper production. Key duties will include leadership focused on further strengthening existing supplier alliances as well as as developing new supply client relationships. Additional key duties will be centered around monitoring inventory and raw material levels. Further responsibilities will include continuous communication with production related personnel to effect possible grade substitutions and product ingredient mix. Other duties will be dedicated to tracking shipments, purchase orders, and modes of transportation. Significant responsibilities will be focused on negotiation activities with suppliers to insure proper quality and effective investment opportunities. Special emphasis will be given by Senior Buyers and management to mentor this individual's success within the buying department as well as throughout the company.To qualify for this exciting opportunity you must posses 3 years minimum successful paper production related background. Additional experience focused on production, purchasing or buying of secondary fiber is highly valued in this roll. Developed relationship building and negotiation skills sets you apart. A Bachelor's Degree plus related experience or equivalent work experience is required.
