Financial Analyst

National Distributor of Consumer Packaged Products is looking to expand and hire a Financial Analyst. This position reports to the Vice-President of Finance, and is based out of the corporate offices in Columbus, Ohio.

This is a very stable company, with nationally branded products, that has been in business for over 25 years! The business grew over 50% last year, and this newly created position will dramatically assist in increasing sales, and taking the company to the next level of profitability.

This is a highly visible position that reports key data to Executive level Management.

The primary responsibilities of this Analyst will center around sales, logistics and inventory. The key areas of responsibility will be:

 Quarterly Analysis of Major Accounts. Will analyze selling price of product, quantities, SKU’s, freight cost and co-op advertising. Will provide 'business intelligence' to outside sales force. Distribution and inventory analysis between major warehousing sites on national level Analyze and forecast purchasing trends: product turns, pricing, and advertising

 

This position will be responsible for thorough and accurate collection of key data needed for quantitative analysis of cost of goods, pricing, sales, inventory, cash flow and distribution expenses. Must enjoy compilation of reports, forecasting and data analysis. Looking for advanced knowledge of computer programs, SQL queries and data mining capabilities, and experience with relational data bases. Will assist Management in collecting and analyzing sales data, marketing data, financial data and variance analysis.

 

Would like to see solid Analyst experience in a distribution or supply chain environment.

Must have excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

 

Must have a Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
