Job Title – Global Logistics Manager

 

General Responsibilities:

The Global Logistics Manager is responsible to execute the strategic plan for global logistics in support of Evenflo’s business requirements (US, Canada and Mexico). The role is responsible for the training and development of his/her direct reports. 

 

The Global Logistics Manager has the following key objectives:

1. Operational excellence – no disruption in the supply chain.

2. Maintain and lower costs while making improvements.

3. Ensure compliance with customs.

 

Examples of Typical Activities

§ Support internal teams with operational execution within areas of responsibility.

§ Negotiate with suppliers and customers on logistics costs and process issues.

§ Establish annual freight standards, to the SKU level.

§ Manage logistic service providers.

§ Perform provider RFQs for all modes.

§ Creates routing guides that optimize economic service performance across all modes and with specific providers within a mode.

§ Perform periodic service provider performance reviews.

§ Freight Audit and Payment.

§ Review and update shipping locations with customer routing guide changes.

§ Ensure compliance with Mexican and Canadian Customs.

§ Review products for NAFTA eligibility.

 

Required Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business.  A minimum of 3-5 years applicable experience with rate negotiations, contract management, and general logistics protocols.

 

Required Technical Competencies

· Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate to advanced Excel and Access), Internet based tracking systems

· General Knowledge of Global Shipping

· Experience with all modes of transportation i.e. Ship, Air, LTL, FTL

· Demonstrated expertise with Direct Import

· Negotiation Skills

· Understanding of NAFTA requirements

· Familiar with compliance requirements - FCC, FDA, CPSC, DOT, IATA, FMC

· Customs experience

 

Desired Technical Competencies

· Ability to speak fluent Spanish
