Global Marketing Manager, Skin Care, Bath & Body, Hair Care
Global Brand of a major Cosmetics manufacturer seeks a Manager, Global Marketing. THIS BRAND PROMOTES WELLNESS AND BEAUTY THROUGH HEALTHFUL, NATURAL PRODUCTS THAT ALSO PROTECT THE PLANET. The Manager works with the Executive Director, Global Marketing on the execution of key brand initiatives. Is the catalyst responsible for the conception, development and gaining of internal and affiliate support for marketing programs for the assigned segments and projects, including an 18 month detailed plan and a 3 year overview. Has significant input into the development of global/regional marketing product and support calendars. Develops and presents to senior management the marketing programs and product launch strategies for assigned categories that include long-term category objectives; COG analysis, pricing and forecasting; SKU management; Merchandising and Creative execution. Provides direction and spearheads the development with all necessary support groups on assigned categories/projects including: Product Development, Packaging, Design, Creative, Global Communications, Education/Special Events, Marketing Services, Online. Directs all forums for program development to insure that programs meet Brand's strategic and financial objectives for specified segments. Is the point person for assigned segments for Brand's performance (shipments, sell-thru, cost of goods, sku count, pricing and new product forecasts) as well as competitively with regard to products, marketing focus and relevancy to the Brand's business. Is the expert on the status of all open programs for assigned segments. Manages, trains and develops the marketing expertise of the Brand's Skin Care, Bath & Body, Home and Hair Care Marketing Administrator. Consistently delivers successful products and programs on time and in keeping with the overall Brand's category strategies and objectives.
+Leads all aspects of the development of the Brand's Skin Care, Bath & Body, Home and Hair Care businesses.
+Conducts/participates in brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to surface and gather new, actionable ideas.
+Screens ideas, prepares and presents the Upfront Planning Process documents, including cost objectives and comparisons to gain final brand management approval on new product and project recommendations.
+Makes recommendations to the existing line based on reformulation, repackaging or value analysis needs.
+Oversees the preparation of product and pricing information for use by management, including competitive pricing analysis.
+Develops and presents A&P Budget recommendations for all assigned segments. Works with Executive Director, Vice President and Finance to insure all programs are supported in a fiscally responsible manner.
+Provides affiliates with appropriate, timely information regarding all calendarized programs in assigned segment (using 9 month/ 5 month pre-launch system).
+Cultivates close collaborative relationships with affiliate marketing teams to insure programs developed by Global Marketing meet affiliate market needs and that Global Marketing strategic objectives are met.
+Prepares and oversees the preparation of necessary paperwork including Concept Proposals, Marketing Work Requests, Package Development Requests, Job Status, Creative and Copy Requests for assigned segments.
+Provides guidance and rationale to Sales for forecasts for existing and new products.
+Works closely with Merchandising to insure the most effective, up-to-date and cost efficient testers, displays and visual elements for assigned segment.
+Liaises regularly with support groups to insure programs meet objectives, are on time, and that cost and budget guidelines are met.
+Prepares and oversees the preparation of materials for presentation of marketing plans, i.e. Sales Meetings, Regional Roundtables, Creative Turnovers.
+Support Vice President in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual global category analyses.
+Spearhead the global category review development and analysis process and is responsible for accuracy of all information presented. Presents and uses data to make informed recommendations and assists in the development of the 3 to 5 year business plan.
+Directs and analyzes market research and is responsible for conducting competitive market analysis on all topics related to assigned categories.
+Leads by example to create an environment that is ENCOURAGING, RESPECTFUL, AND BUILDS TEAM COOPERATION.
QUALIFICATIONS
+Solid 5+ years product marketing: Cosmetics, Skin Care, Hair Care, Home and Wellness.
+Must demonstrate a passion for the cosmetic business and in particular, understand the Brand's philosophy and point of difference.
+Must possess excellent creative, analytical, communications and computer skills.
+Needs to exhibit a keen ability to conceptualize new products, analyze competitive activity, and formulate recommendations to grow the business.
+Must possess the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships with member of cross-functional and affiliate teams.
+Must be flexible, determined and an excellent team player.
+Must have the potential to assume increased responsibility.
+Must have the ability to manage the performance and career development of a direct report.
