Gunsmith & Technical Writer

MidwayUSA is continuing to assemble the finest team of professionals in the Shooting Sports Industry, and we are looking for those who wish to turn their passion for the shooting sports into a dynamic, fast-paced career.  As a Gunsmith & Technical Writer, you will be responsible for working on a variety of gunsmithing projects for all MidwayUSA commercials, vignettes, and advertisements.  You’ll play a pivotal role in scripting the gunsmithing projects seen on Wednesday Night at the Range. 

 

This person will also be responsible for technical writing on all of our projects, which includes drafting potential storyboards, scripting projects in concise, logical language, and idea generation for future projects.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

 

· Excellent Gunsmithing Skills – Solid and varied experience and the ability in general gunsmithing to produce quality work in an efficient manner.  Lathe and mill operation also beneficial.

· Written Communication Skills – Logic and computer skills, editing ability to create process outlines, work instructions and scripting.

· Verbal Communication Skills – Ability to teach others and effectively communicate in a production setting.
