We are seeking a Hardware Engineer

 

Performs design and development engineering assignments related to hardware products and systems including development of new products or updates to existing products. Work may encompass one or more areas of engineering including electronic design, mechanical design, reliability engineering, or other related fields. Duties may include research, evaluation, development, and application of new processes and methods into products. May be responsible for establishing and conducting testing routines, developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules, and documentation of work and results.

 

The successful candidate will have a background in either electrical or mechanical design with good programming skills.  This candidate would responsible for the development and technical support of test equipment fixtures utilized by the development and manufacturing organizations within Lexmark.  Duties may include (but are not limited to) electrical circuit, hardware and software design along with appropriate documentation of these activities.  The successful candidate will be required to specify and incorporate various technologies (i.e., sensors, motor controls, etc.) into designs.  Many of these duties require interaction with resources both in and out of Lexmark to ensure work is completed in a timely and cost effective manner. 

 

Requirements:

 

A minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.  3-5 years of work experience is desired.  Both experience in creating 3D solid models in I-deas (or UG) and  experience with LabView programming is preferred.  Communication and organizational skills are also desired.
