Human Resources Representative

Hopkins Manufacturing Corp. designs, manufactures and markets a diverse line of products targeted at the automotive aftermarket. We provide patented products that lead in several industry segments. Hopkins is headquartered in a friendly, Midwest, college town. As the “Front Porch of the Flint Hills” this area features large lakes and a national wildlife preserve that offer sporting and other recreational activities.

 

¨ Recruit, interview and coordinate selection of hourly and salaried non-exempt employees. Conduct new employee orientation.

¨ Manage the performance review and salary action process.

¨ Maintain hourly job descriptions, analyze labor market data and prepare recommendations for management. Provide analysis of human resources transactions, workforce demographics, employment costs and external data.

¨ Assist in safety and workers compensation administration.

¨ Advise production supervisors about human relations practices and assist hourly production employees with questions.

 

Requirements:

¨ BS/BA Degree with major coursework in human resources or related field.

¨ Above average human relations skills that demonstrate an ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.

¨ Good working knowledge of MS Office programs and other database or payroll systems.

¨ Excellent organizational, detail and record keeping abilities.

¨ Prior experience in Human Resources and/or knowledge of labor laws. PHR Desired.

¨ Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
