INVENTORY CONTROL LEAD

The Inventory Control Lead provides day to day direction for inventory control staff ensuring appropriate workloads and daily goal completion.  This position is responsible for facilitating the receipt, verification, computer transaction and physical movement of all inventories into and out of the Material Control area.  Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develops and maintains area procedures and employee training Maintains Inventory Control of Restock area compliant with 6S Standards Processes material movement and return to stock transactions Uses FIFO methodology for material storage Coordinates with other departments to resolve discrepancies as necessary Accurately maintains computer records of all goods received and problem orders each day. Conducts inventory audits to verify computer records and employee accuracy Files documentation in accordance with departmental procedures

Requirements:Minimum 3 years experience in inventory control (manufacturing environment preferred) Ability to do basic computer inventory transactions (Axapta preferred) Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point,Access) Strong written and verbal skills.  English language skills sufficient to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to compute rates, ratios, percents and to draw and interpret bar graphs Results oriented work ethic Ability to work in a cross-functional team Spanish language helpful Textile/Apparel Industry a plus
