Internal Control Manager

Position is responsible for assessment, development, and implementation of internal control systems for Sourcing and Procurement in support of departmental and corporate governance goals and objectives. Identification of potential control weaknesses, implementation of appropriate remediation, and implementation of best practices for continuous process improvement.  Works closely with senior management, cross-funtional groups, internal and external audit.

Conduct periodic formal assessment and re-assessment of corporate and site-specific procurement internal control policies, processes, and procedures regarding potential operational risks (e.g., prevention and detection of fraud, waste, abuse, asset utilization and maintenance).

Develop and present project proposals to senior management to remediate current and recommend process control improvements to minimize future control deficiencies.

Lead project initiatives to achieve remediation.

Maintain Sourcing and Procurement policies and procedures and monitor compliance.

Bachelors in Business or Engineering required.  5+ years experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, and/or manufacturing operations, ISO and/or Sarbanes-Oxley compliance or related auditing expertise required.  Consumer products background preferred.  Must be results oriented with strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.  Project management and process improvement also a must.  Must be able to interface with senior management and be both a change agent and a consensus builder.  Accounting background a plus.  Must also have intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, WORD, and Access.
