International Sourcing Agent - Product Sourcing Agent

Opportunity – International Sourcing Agent, product sourcing, product development, cost of goods negotiation in Collectibles/Giftware/Home Décor industry – The Bradford Group

 

Job Summary:

 

We are looking for an experienced Product Sourcing Agent. This individual will work closely with our product developers and designers by sourcing material such as resin, porcelain, wood, plastic, and glass, with our Far East factories. Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience with new project bidding and cost negotiation, as well as managing our cost of goods. In addition, production and quality coordination will be a key responsibility.

Responsibilities:

· New project bidding and cost negotiation with Far East suppliers which will include calculating Freight-in and Freight-out cost, creating internal Cost of Goods (COG), and distributing and maintaining internal COG

· New product/concept development. This includes reviewing new concepts and programs with Program Managers, giving suggestions on material and design, selecting vendors, and updating the development report

· Production and quality coordination, which will include reviewing pre-production samples and providing suggestion, mail order package designs, monitoring package weight control, and solving production problems

· Maintain compliance and quality standards outlined by our product Licensors

Qualifications:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in Business

· Minimum of 5 years experience in the field

· Experience in collectible/giftware industry

· Proven cost negotiation skills

· Ocean freight calculation experience

· Mail order package experience

· Strong material knowledge on Resin, Porcelain, Glass and Metal

· Strong computer skills including word, excel, and databases

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Proven project management skills

· International traveling experience

· Overseas (Far East) sourcing and process design experience is highly preferred

· Overseas sourcing experience

· Overseas(Far East) manufacturing experience, understanding of manufacturing process

· Bilingual in both English and Chinese a plus
